More about Alfie’s Clover’s pedigree: It’s in his blood – quite literally!

Behind every successful eventing horse is a long history of talented horses and Alfie’s Clover is no different – as his breeder, James Hickey, discusses in an interview with The Irish Field.

A traditional Irish Sport Horse, Alfie’s Clover has an impressive lineage, with Clover Hill and Tajraasi in his pedigree. Alfie’s Clover’s winning ability is quite literally in his blood.

However, according to his breeder, James Hickey, even Alfie’s Clover is a “special horse” – persistently placing in the top-10 in some of the most challenging five-star events, including Badminton and Burghley Horse Trials this year with clear rounds in both cross country and show jumping phases – that’s some feat!
