All donations to Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance Charity
Team Jones has issued an invitation for eventing enthusiasts who are attending the Burghley Horse Trials 30 August – 3 September, to join Richard as he walks the demanding 5*course on Thursday 31st August in preparation for Saturday’s cross-country horse trials.
It will be a unique opportunity to gain insights on how a top eventer approaches the jumps on a 5*course that asks questions of both horse and rider. Ticket registration is £10 per person and all proceeds will be donated to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance charity.
Helen Watkinson, Community Fundraising Manager for the charity is delighted: “What a great way to raise funds for LNAA and at such a fantastic event. We know how important the helicopter and crew are to the equestrian communities of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, and these donations will ensure our crew is by the side of our patients when they need us the most.”
The course walk will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 31st August, with the exact time and meeting location to be confirmed to participants by Wednesday 30th August.
Last year’s course walk was a huge success, with participants able to hear Richard’s immediate reaction to the questions being set by the course designer, before watching how he and Alfies Clover coped with them, going clear on the following day. See footage of last year’s course walk below:
Registrations and charity donation for the course walk can be made here, please note that there is a maximum of 50 tickets available for this event on a first-come first-served basis, likely to sell out by early next week: https://buff.ly/3E4UvJY
