The clock is ticking down for Richard Jones and Alfies Clover for this year at Burghley Horse Trials. Richard believes they have their best ever chance of going better than their ‘Top Ten’ place at Badminton and has eyes on a coveted ‘Top Three’ finish. We’ll be keeping our news feeds on – Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter will be buzzing with updates of their progress during this top international 5* Horse Trials event. But why not join in?

The countdown begins:
Wednesday 31st August – First Trot up, Main Arena, 4pm
It’s the all-important first trot up in front of the vet and the Ground Jury of the event. Horses and riders are dressed to impress, and turned out to the highest standards!
Just head for the Main Arena, take your seat in the grandstand, and when Richard and Alfie come in, and get the nod from the inspection team, cheer as loudly at you can!!! Get the Burghley Buzz going!
NOTE: Entry to Burghley Park is FREE Wednesday, and seating in the Grandstand is FREE too
Thursday 1st September - Richard and Alfies Dressage Day

Friday 2nd September – Join Richard Jones on a course walk, no charge
Get the opportunity to walk one of the world’s top 5* XC courses designed by top international course designer Derek di Grazia and get the lowdown from Richard on the challenges and options. The walk will take approx. an hour and a half, please wear walking boots/shoes and bring water.
Email teamjones@iba-international to register your name and we’ll send you details of the time and meeting point – numbers are limited, so hurry!

Saturday 3rd September – It’s Cross Country Day
Richard and Alfie are likely to be in the start box in the middle of the day.
